Social Networking Sites

Facebook was social networking site that was built for an older crowd, college students and older. Over the years Facebook has acquire younger users.  Facebook has a polite tone, people put up status that’s about life and motivation. It is also a place where people share items that others might find interesting to keep the conversation going. But it’s mainly used to keep in connection with friends and family. Now, when you look at the profiles they all look the same, no way to personalized it.
MySpace is a more relax website, where people can be themselves.  No need to worry about your boss looking at your profile, it okay. When you look at MySpace, you can see how easy it is to use. MySpace is very colorful. It also gives you the ability to customize your profile unlike Facebook.  Users try to stay relevant and up to date with the times. It seems like the main thing is to network with other users and trying to become popular. Who have the most friends’ wins. In addition, its feels like it all about music, a lot of promotion about artist.
Twitter is a very simple site but complex. They give you the ability to customized your profile and twitter page with different colors and pictures. They limit the amount that you can say to a 140 characters, so you say less but everything you need to say and if people want to know more they reply, this start a conversation flow. You are also able to see what people are thinking, doing, are saying about you. It’s like a smaller version of a blog.
Plenty of fish is also a social network but with a dating spin. The layout of both the home page and profile is very simplistic. The site has an option of looking at different faces of males or females to find users that are attractive to you. And then you send a message to them. Plenty of fishes don’t looks like it’s has any rules or tones to follow.  It really seems like something anyone can put together.
