Advice to Baruch College

How can i bring new media within the college?  The first thing that I would do is turn all text books into e books. This would make life more convenient for all students and books cheaper. No need to carry  heavy text books around all day anymore. In addition, I would create cloud storage for the students and college staff. The storage would allow students to have unlimited access to the work and from anywhere in the world. Not only would these two elevate the college life, these changes will save a lot of tree, making the college greener. As human beings, we must think about the environment, because it affects everyone.
For online classes, I will create a second life Baruch campus. Where professors can have online classes, have meeting with students, and create virtual information. Moreover, students could also meet up with each other to do projects, study,or just connect. With a virtual 3d world the opportunity is endless.

  1. Turning all the course books into e books sounds really helpful to me. Students will then bring the electronic books everyday in class because it will no longer be heavier. I really like the idea.

  2. After reading a lot of the advice to baruch blogs I noticed that a majority of people would really like to idea of having ebooks which I think is awesome. It cuts costs, saves money, if any updates are made they can do so immediately. Students can interact with each other if they need help students can interact with the professor as well and can pick out specific texts of the book or example and get feedback as necessary. Other students will also be able to see what students ask so they can have insight as well. Students can also begin study groups online and help each other as needed.
